It’s July the 15th 2011 and Germany is playing against Japan. The sport is ‘Goalball’. Players that participate are either partially or totally blind, but all must wear blindfolds to make sure that they only use their sense of hearing and touch.
Three players on a side guarding a 9m (29.5ft) wide goal from a 1.25kg (2.75lb) bell-filled ball that can be hurled at a speed of over 80kph (50mph).
This is really incredible. Gives one goose bumps…
