Manchester United Striker, Dimitar Barbatov, will not be joining his team mates as they travel to Aston Villa to face the club in the upcoming Barclays Premier League match, due to an ankle injury.
The announcement came from manager, Sir Alex Ferguson who admitted that “at the moment, we’re going through a spell where we’re getting a few a week but we have to get on with it,” referring to the string of injuries suffered by the team recently.
Barbatov joins Brazilian twins Rafael and Fabio who will also miss Saturday’s game after limping off in Wednesday’s 2-1 defeat by Crystal Palace in their League Cup quarterfinal.
Manchester United are second in the Premier League, trailing leaders Manchester City by five points.
