After his first round win against Juan Carlos Ferrero at this year’s Wimbledon Championships, Novac Djokovic was in the middle of a press conference responding to questions about a golf club incident.
During the match, Djokovic who needed a new racquet, intentionally pulled out a golf club out of his bag instead, as part of a creative stunt by his sponsors.
The subject soon turned to Djokovic’s girlfriend and dog. While answering questions about his personal life, the world number one was interrupted by Maria Sharapova hurrying him up to finish the conference.
The two players then chatted to one another about both their dogs!
The friendly banter and personal revelations are a nice break from the seriousness and hard work involved in a Grand Slam.
