Everybody knows Ryan Babel is an avid Tweeter, but unfortunately this got him into trouble with the FA.
Referee Howard Webb once again brought on accusations of being a Manchester United fan when he awarded a very questionable and decisive penalty in the first minute of Man United’s 1-0 win over Liverpool in their FA Cup third-round match. So, Babel Tweeted an image of an old Manchester United shirt photoshopped onto Webb’s body (right) as a joke born out of frustration over the day’s events.
But since Twitter is now considered a source of official statements of the utmost seriousness, that image soon became news and now Babel could be punished by the FA.

Ryan Babel has hinted at leaving Liverpool if he isn’t given more opportunity to play more first-team football. This adds to the sense of crisis gathering around Anfield in what has been a frustrating season to date.
Babel, an 11.5-million-pound signing from Ajax two years ago, is unhappy with the number of matches he has started and has risked incurring the wrath of manager Rafael Benitez by criticising the manager’s communication skills.
“I have tried to talk to the manager but it isn’t of any use,” he was quoted as saying in Tuesday’s edition of The Sun. “I couldn’t really do anything with the feedback Benitez gave me.
